What does it mean to be an "Eco Lodge" ?

This blog post is about the meaning of an Eco Lodge ?

Raja Ampat, being a Marine Protected Area with the richest marine life ecosystem, it is even more important to be eco-friendly and sustainable in this area

There are multiple definitions and guidelines out there. The two most important ones are:

• “Making Tourism More Sustainable: A Guide for Policy Makers”, published by United Nations – World Tourism Organization (UNWTO):  www.unwto.org

• “17 sustainable development goals”, published by United Nations: www.sdgs.un.org/goals

Based on these guidelines, we have created our own guidelines, by pushing even further the UN criteria.

In this video, we wanted to share with you some aspects of how we do it.
